About Us

The notion of the Virtual Black Man came when our founder Michael Taylor was attending an HBCU in the south and realized there was nothing for affluent black men on the Internet. When the Internet was young there we plenty of places for everyone but black men. Thus he set out on knowledge quest and still not luck. Finally, he remembered, “to whom much is given, much is expected” and that was the beginning.

Our Aim/Mission

Premise 1

Our first premise is to promote the African American male that is on line or the virtual black man (VBM) and their small businesses. A lot of the larger web outlets and portals report on the rich and famous like Jet, Ebony Man, Vibe and quite a few others. Our goal is to give the VBM a place to showcase his products and services. While everyone is trying to find the big interview, we are looking for the ones that will be film makers/stars, best sellers, r&b artist, rappers, models and more tomorrow and only need to get noticed today.

Premise 2

We will bring meaningful, insightful and responsible articles for the VBM. These articles may not all be written by AA men, however, the topics will be of definite interest to the VBM. We all know how difficult it is to actually find good literature for VBM because we are seen as merely not so savvy consumers.

Premise 3

We will be a resource for VBM's. We will begin to house the information of interest to African Americans.
